The Iron Heel is a dystopian novel by American writer Jack London, first published in 1908. Anthony Meredith, a scholar in about the year 2600 AD (or 419 B.O.M. - the Brotherhood of Man), annotates the "e;Everhard Manuscript"e;, an account that chronicles the years from 1912 to 1932 when the great "e;Iron Heel"e; oligarchy rose to power in the United States.
