Mr. Claus has learned that he forgot a baby boy and has nothing for him on Giving Day. The only thing he has to work with is the dirty, crooked wooden box. How can an exactly right gift for a baby boy be made from a dirty, crooked wooden box? Mr. Claus makes something splendid from this old box without any magic, and that is what the story is all about. Have fun with the story and laugh at the pictures. They are so much fun.

Janet Sue Rhodes is a very old lady. She was born long before television or suitcases had wheels. Stories have piled up inside her imagination since she was old enough to say more than one word. She has been too busy raising four sons and living life to the fullest to write anything down. Now that she is almost eighty years old, her imagination is too crowded, and the Exactly Right Gift popped out. She found writing this was fun, so perhaps she will write some more.
