Many Bible stories are written to be read to children, but this book is written for children to read for themselves. The text, illustrations, and format provide for a successful reading experience.

Janice Burnette lives with her husband, Roy, in Sylva, North Carolina. They have three children and two grandchildren. Janice, a retired school teacher, spent many of her years as a reading specialist, having received training focused on work with beginning and struggling readers. She currently teaches preschoolers in Sunday school and Mission Friends at her church. She enjoys playing piano and organ, reading, doing various kinds of puzzles, and exploring our national and state parks.
