Colorado native, Jeanne Wilkins Wilde, is also the author of two other books, Lavinia and Tell Me About . . . A Collection of Memoirs. She has taught school, hosted a television program and served as a Concierge at the Colorado Convention Center. She resides in Denver with her geologist husband, Don, who was instrumental in helping with the creation of this book. JoAnn Hamling was born in Denver. Interestingly enough, she, her children, and her grandchildren all attended Montclair elementary school. She went to high school in Illinois and college in Iowa. Her major was education, and she minored in art. Rufus Ambrose, a long-haired Dachshund, was her inspiration for Duff. Rufus is a charmer - just like Andy's dog.
