Grey Beauchamp didn't plan on moving to Texas. Didn't plan on becoming a rancher and didn't plan on learning the ways of the West. Until the will of his late uncle leaves him in charge of a cattle ranch in Faroon.

After being persuaded not to sell the inheritance off. Grey strives to become familiar with every aspect of life as a ranch owner. He gets to know the cattle. He studies the range. He practices until skilled with both pistol and rifle.

Soon, those with more experience begin seeking ways to take advantage of the Eastener. But Grey Beauchamp will have none of it.

When a dispute with another rancher arises over a stretch of grazing land, Grey has the courage and the ability to stand up to his foe. However, it isn't long before he finds out that it might not be enough. The enemy has something Grey doesn't. The right connections. In danger of losing everything his uncle left to him, Grey must rely on his intelligence and cunning schemes to try and keep his inheritance.

Residing and writing in bucolic southeastern Ohio, a land of natural serenity creates a placidity allowing for the stimulation of the muse, or one might say nothing happens here, so one is not distracted from the work.
After a thirty-year stint in the corporate world, I took residence in a century house undertaking to write fiction.
My efforts have produced short stories and novels.
My aim is to produce work that is entertaining, educational, well-written, interesting and believable.
My hope is that the reader deems it so.
