Eighteen year old Jennifer Ashford arrives in Los Angeles, California after recently being disowned by her family for being Transgender. Having no money to her name and no support, she starts prostituting. She quickly learns the dangers involved with her choices. She meets Cass, who becomes her mentor, Reggie, a gang leader and pimp who wants to control her, and Jerry, who she has no idea what he wants.
