Jennifer Gensits has been a lover of animals and picture books her entire life. She was inspired to write Runaway Buddy after her favorite childhood cat ran away and later returned. Jennifer is an ESL teacher at an urban middle school, where she encourages her students to develop a passion for reading, writing, and lifelong learning. She lives in Northampton, Pennsylvania, with her husband and two daughters.
