High on a frozen peak, Eli Harper kills a bear and believes he has survived the worst.
He is wrong.
As snow, hunger, wolves, and armed men close in, Eli is driven deeper into a wilderness where every step reveals a new threat. The mountain itself becomes an adversary?testing his strength, his will, and the truth of who the real monsters are.
Mountain of Monsters is a relentless survival Western about endurance, isolation, and the cost of staying alive when nature and men alike refuse mercy. Gritty, atmospheric, and unforgiving, it is the story of one man pushed beyond escape?forced to stand and face everything that hunts him.
Some monsters have claws.
Others carry rifles.
And the mountain remembers them all.
Autorentext
Jeremiah Journey owns one of the largest cattle ranches in Wyoming.
He worked alongside his older brother Jacob until Jacob's death in August 2024.
Riding beside Jacob, they talked many times about writing a Western. Jacob would say, "You're the one with the imagination, so, you should be the one to write it."
Jerry decided if a Western was going to be written, he was going to have to write it.
He dedicates this first novel to his brother Jacob Journey.
