The Family Gold is a historical fiction mystery based on real people and true events.

Tennessee Adams served in the Union Cavalry. Near the end of the Civil War, his troop was ordered to capture the fleeing President, Jefferson Davis and the Confederate Treasury. They were then charged with transporting that treasure back to Washington D.C.

In Wilkes County, Georgia, they came under attack. His actions that day would not only dramatically affect the rest of his life, but also four generations of his descendants.

Jerry D. Corbin is the author of The Family Gold, a historical mystery rooted in real genealogical research and true events passed down through four generations of his family. A lifelong storyteller, Jerry is also the writer, producer, and host of Building Memories on WXED 107.3 FM, where he explores American heritage and local history through personal stories. With a background in energy conservation, radio broadcasting, and historical research, Corbin combines fact, folklore, and fiction to uncover long-buried truths. The Family Gold is his debut novel and the first release under the Little Joe Publishing imprint.
