Knock On Wood
This is a sweet mystery romance written from Kelsie Lewis's point of view. This is not a religious romance nor is it a romcom. This story does not contain bad language or sex scenes, remarkably so. Honey Grove is not the real town in Texas, known for being the sweetest, but this small town is sweet too.

Honey Grove is my hometown where the street signs are as sweet as the people. Well, most of the people. Mister Winston might still be mad about my meddling, but his fence probably held up nice. I had always been obsessed with fixing life's problems. Smart and bored didn't mix. Everyone felt extreme relief when I left for college.
I was good at the leaving part.
Coming back, well, that was tough.
The fourth time was for good. Honey Grove has a certain comfort. My best friend, Jasmine, is beyond excited. She's a firecracker, so is our friend, Bobbie Jo. She's also the most beautiful soul. Bobbie Jo sees the good in people.
Jackson West. He's more than a crush. Jackson was my first kiss, my first boyfriend, my first everything. He didn't break my heart. I did all the breaking. I left to travel the world, and he stayed in Honey Grove. Jackson said there were no goodbyes with all that leaving. He wasn't wrong.
Coming home was for very important reasons. Dad and Jackson topped my list. Risky life choices were in the past. One near death experience was enough. Two meant it was time for a career change. I was ready to start my new job at the Briar Chronicle. A councilman resigned, and that's my first assignment. What can go wrong?
