Seasons Shaped by God's Guidance
My name is Jessy Mathew, and for the past forty plus years I have sought to serve the Lord faithfully. I currently live in Canada, but my journey with God has not been confined to a place-it has unfolded across years of prayer, obedience, waiting, and continual interaction with Him.
This book was not born out of ambition, nor from a desire to present ideas of my own. It grew quietly out of God's guidance, shaped through ongoing fellowship with the Lord over many years. As I walked with Him through different seasons of life, I noticed something profound: certain words from Scripture would return to me again. They would surface during prayer, reflection, decisions, and moments of transition. These were not verses I was merely reading-they were verses that were dealing with me.
Among them, Ecclesiastes chapter 3, verses 1 to 8, has spoken to me repeatedly. Over time, I began to understand why. Life unfolds in seasons, and God is deeply involved in each one. Through my experiences-both joyful and difficult-I have seen how accurately Scripture describes the rhythms of life, the changes we face, and the wisdom required to walk through them faithfully.
As the years passed, I felt a growing burden to gather these Scriptures together with what the Lord has taught me through experience-not as an argument, but as a testimony of God's faithful guidance. This book is an attempt to put into words what has been shaped in my heart through years of walking with Him: lessons learned in waiting, understanding timing, accepting change, and trusting God when seasons shift.
What you hold in your hands is a sharing of that journey. It is not written from a place of having all the answers, but from a place of having learned to listen. My hope is that as you read, these reflections will resonate with your own experiences and help you discern God's hand at work in your life as well.
If these words encourage you, strengthen your faith, or help you understand the season you are walking through, then this book will have fulfilled its purpose. It is my prayer that what God has spoken to me through His Word will become a blessing to you as well.
