It is Christmas Day, 1914, on the Western Front. Two worn down and weary armies face each other across a treacherous killing ground known as no man's land. A traumatized German soldier has been singled out for mistreatment by a ruthless superior. Yet, despite his personal situation, he seeks to end the fighting or die trying.
