He was previously Head of Department for the Department of Psychology, Sociology and Politics at Sheffield Hallam University. His research interests include cognition and emotion, health psychology interventions and psychometric testing.

Christine P. Dancey was an Emeritus Professor of Psychology at the University of East London.
