John Seaton Callahan has been a professional photographer since graduating from the College of Fine Arts at UCLA in 1987. His images, represented by Getty, appear globally with over 3,000 editorial pages and 125+ covers for major outlets like National Geographic, the New York Times, and the BBC. He is creative director of the surfEXPLORE® Group and a widely published contributor to major global surfing publications. Originally from Hawaii, where he began surfing at Kuhio Beach in Waikiki in 1969, John has lived in Singapore since 2001.
