She Climbed a Mountain

That girl you knew.

She no longer exists.

That version of me.

Weak. Thoughtless. Entitled.

She's gone.

I know you loved her.

I did too.

The parts you loved are still there,

her creativity shines through.

The little parts that were her glue

washed away.

Ripped off the bandages.

Uncovered those wounds, and she bled.

Bled out her misery.

And sadness.

And pain.

Her fear.

Her distrust.

Her anger.

She bled a waterfall down a mountainside.

And she found herself.

She found her freedom.
