The alarming reality is that Biblical literacy of the church today is so scarce there is no longer any ability of the members to compare messages they hear with the Scriptures, which tragically leaves them vulnerable to deception.

The master deceiver is delighted to see his design bearing fruit and tirelessly weaves those deceptions to those who are not infused with the light of the truth.

Perhaps the most needed prayer for the church today is that our gracious Lord will grant believers a deep hunger and thirst for the Word of God. Such a revival would be an investment that would yield rich and abundant returns in spiritual growth and the development of an ever-deepening, life-sustaining faith.

Without the preparation of the Gospel of peace, let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.
