Explosions rocked under her feet. Mia staggered. Aiden steadied her, his hand locking around her upper arm. She could feel the shock impact of his gun through his body as he fired. "Run!" he bellowed.
The action is heating up.
His large hands came up to cup either side of her face. His thumbs brushed her cheeks. She looked up into his eyes. He was looking down at her with the most serious expression. The black camo streaks really added to his seriousness. "You're so beautiful and brave, Mia. I love you."
She wants to keep him. But she can't.
