Because We Are Brothers: The Great Mountain Trail Adventure is about two siblings that are great friends. The story is about an adventurous fun day when the two brothers and their parents go hiking. This book teaches kids that in the National Parks it is important to throw away their trash, that animals make their home in the forest, and about the role that Park Rangers play. This book has a unique twist in that it was written to appeal to both children and parents because it was written from both perspectives.

Kate Kennedy has a love for National Parks and outdoor adventures. She writes books to encourage families to explore nature together. Her desire is to educate children about what they will encounter when they are enjoying outdoor adventures. Kate Kennedy is a retired professor, a life coach, and she enjoys volunteering. She has traveled extensively in Europe, Africa, Canada, and the U.S. This is her second children's book. The first one is titled Because We Are Brothers.
