San Francisco, 1966. A city caught between peace and chaos, love and violence. Into this turbulent backdrop, Spencer Marlowe reappears-his latest mission to infiltrate The American Family, a commune led by the enigmatic Stanford Delaware. With fiery FBI agent Savannah Steele at his side, Spencer must disguise himself as one of the flower children and gain the trust of a community where ex-cons rub shoulders with drifters, dreamers, and zealots.
Delaware's magnetic charisma has lured hundreds into his orbit, but beneath the surface of free love and harmony lies something far darker. His right-hand man, fallen football star Ronny Delgado, will stop at nothing-including murder-to ensure the Family's survival. And then there's the kool-aid: a chemical-laced "happy juice" that dulls suspicion and clouds judgment, leaving even Spencer and Savannah vulnerable to Delaware's grip.
As the 1966 Candlestick Park concert draws near, Spencer realizes that Delaware's obsession with The Beatles is no harmless fixation. Something larger is brewing-and time is running out.
Thus continues the time traveling escapades of Spencer Marlowe, a man of two centuries.
