Born in 1952, Kim Brandell was raised in Anoka, Minnesota and returned there after military service, college, law school and practice as a lawyer. A father of two and husband to one, Kim enjoys the characters in a book more than litigants in a courtroom, opposing attorneys and judges, because unlike wonderful plaintiffs and defendants, competent and kind lawyers and the wise and warm men and women in black robes, he can tell fictional characters what to do and they do it.
From an author's perspective, the characters in a book are exactly as the author wants them to be. Life is simple in a book.
