The author wanted children to get involved with nature. After doing research on the topic and finding out that climate change and man are destroying many of the natural resources, she wanted the children to get excited about their natural resources.

This is the first in a series of books about Eco, a bird, and Frendlee (friendly), a dog. Eco keeps trying to show Frendlee the beauty of our natural resources.
