Oranges and the mob got there first. Then cocaine built the Miami skyline in the late 70s and 80s. Miami became the drug capital for America. It was a time of murder and lawlessness. Smugglers became millionaires overnight. Then the drug cartels moved in.

Communism took root following the Vietnam War. Democrats and the Media believed redistribution of the wealth was the answer. Government leaders told poor women, don't get married, have your babies, Uncle Sam will take care of you. Welfare spread like wildfire.

McCoy was a corrupt Miami detective. So was his partner, Cottonmouth. Rico was a Mafia boss working the cocaine trade. Politicians became involved, so did restaurant owners, mom and pop establishments, hotels, even area mayors. Bankers and lawyers were getting rich.

Then the sparks began to fly.
