In this light-hearted fantasy, everyone expects Dayna to follow in her mother's footsteps and become a sorceress. But Dayna's dream is to wield a sword. When her mother offers her a deal - she may study fighting if she also takes up magic - Dayna accepts. Later, a spell-casting ogre attacks the town, and Dayna's dual abilities may be her people's only hope.
