When Jennifer Cahill becomes involved in an investigation after her friend Grace reports a strange break-in at her Gold Coast townhouse, what initially appears to be a routine case quickly unravels into something far more dangerous.
At the same time, Cindy Roberts begins a secret relationship with a co-worker at the prestigious architecture firm owned by her father-an affair strictly forbidden by company policy and thrilling precisely because of the risk. What starts as an innocent rebellion soon pulls her into a web of deception she never saw coming.
Set against the dark elegance of Chicago's Gold Coast, this gripping crime drama explores betrayal, misplaced trust, and the devastating cost of believing the wrong people-until it's almost too late.
