All Gregory's life he wanted to be a Paladin, joining the Order and defeating evil. Vanquishing foes of the nation of Steinheim and becoming a hero. So when he came of age he eagerly left for the trials, traveling with his father to the mysterious compound where the paladins lived and trained in hopes of being selected to join their ranks.
