Hispanic Pop Culture in Translation is a systematic course that combines both relevant theoretical background and practical guidance to enable advanced students of Spanish to confidently translate pop culture texts. Through analysis of the current state of dubbing, subtitling, and translation in the modern world, this innovative and engaging course makes students aware of the political, cultural, social, and historical implications of linguistic cross-cultural interactions in pop culture. Each chapter includes a variety of activities which prepare students for a final translation project.
