Twins Henriette and Hannes Tempus are moving with their parents from the bustling city of Berlin to Weimar. The children are far from thrilled about the move. Marie Wollatz was born in Freiberg/Saxony in 1981. She grew up in the former GDR until the age of eight and now lives on the North Sea coast in Schleswig-Holstein. She has already written short stories and columns for a youth magazine. Inspired by her own past in the GDR, she wants to make history visible and tangible for children and young people. Her work is characterised by a very affectionate writing style.
