MARISA RODRÍGUEZ ABANCÉNS, is from Jerez de los Caballeros (Badajoz); she is a journalist, who graduated in Law and has a doctorate in Information Sciences. She has numerous publications referring to the social phenomenon of communication. She has practiced broadcasting and press journalism. She has been director of the magazine Crítica; Professor of communication and regular contributor to the press, she has prefaced several books on educational, gender, and on scientific and humanistic issues. She is the author of the biography Pedro Poveda, A Gentle Challenge translated into English. A good part of her journalistic activity is dedicated to disseminating the figures and thoughts of Josefa Segovia and Pedro Poveda.
