The book is, as the title reveals, a novella. The style of the book is dark humor. It is a tale about a land where the people used to always be easygoing and hopeful. At the start of the book, though, the circumstances are much different, as the people are having to contend with a much more disturbing, perilous situation. The realm in which they live has been overrun by a vicious invasion of malevolent, demonic ghouls. The ghouls control the realm with a savage ferocity. The days are truly dreadful, and prospects seem grim, indeed. But, the people, in one of the towns affected by the invasion, refuse to give up. Against all odds, they are determined to find a way to defeat the horrific ghouls. The methods that they choose, to pursue their goal? Let's just say, they are rather unconventional, and, perhaps, ill advised. Still, they carry on, searching for the solution that will vanquish the nefarious ghouls from their realm and bring an end to the nightmarish situation.

I have written eighteen books, six under the name, Xavier Cockroachal Damon, six under the name, Aaron Aaronson, and six under the name, Mark Comstock. The books consist of novels and collections of stories and all have a lot of dark humor, often very dark. The books could be considered bizarre, outrageous, absurd and audacious. They are uncompromising, unconventional, irreverent and, most definitely, off the beaten path.
