In 1989 Ashley finds herself in Romania, captive of a smuggling group lead by a ruthless South African mercenary. Ashley briefly meets a foreign giant who seems to be hunting her captures. After several gunfights Ashley and her foreign companion attempt to evade two opposing mercenary armies who pursue them through Eastern Europe, and who risk starting a regional conflict while fighting each other.

I am Matthew (though often known as Matt).

I have had an interest in literature, printed archives and research since I was a child, many long years ago. This interest was, in no small part, due to my family's home resembling a small library with several bookshelves in each room.

Over the past 15 years or so my fondness for literature and writing have been greatly influenced by my desire for more information on subjects of personal interest (such as Jewish culture, Israel's history, albinism, general military history and technology, European cultures and histories...and the list goes on).

My interests in books and literature carried through to my academic life. My university studies have covered a variety of subjects including editing, journalism, graphic design, fiction writing, information archiving and retrieval, and teaching (TESOL / TEFL). Studying (watching repeatedly) vast numbers of foreign films and animated features has also helped to inform my writing and related knowledge...at least that is my excuse.
