Retired journalist Annie has recovered from one helluva year and is enjoying an end of year break with her buddies Beebs and Jumbo. The trio were caught up in a mystery last year which started as an unfortunate accident and developed into a case which brought down a major crime syndicate. Relaxing by the pool on new years day, Annie announces that her new year resolution is to become a grey nomad this year.
Her two buddies think this is hilarious! In her twee little Mazda? She can't even pitch a tent! Which makes her even more determined to make it happen. She hires a campervan, maps out an itinerary and her destination. She is heading to the 60th Adelaide Fringe Festival. Her journey will take her from Mooney Mooney on the NSW Central Coast, across country via the Blue Mountains, Bathurst, Wagga, to the Barossa and finally to the city itself.
Unbeknown to her, she is not traveling alone. There is a package concealed in the van. It's a package that a lot of dodgy people are looking for. Beebs and Jumbo are determined that she should make it to Adelaide safely, in one piece. But they'll have their work cut out for them. Annie is about to have one mighty adventure and, just as she did last year, she's going to make it an adventure and a half for Beebs, too! While Jumbo will be doing the sweeping up after them. Again.
Climb aboard and buckle up. Let's go west!
