Have you ever wondered how some people can willingly walk away from what they know to embark on a journey into a future that isn't even defined? Do you marvel at people who recklessly go out on a limb?and intentionally saw themselves off? Do you find yourself thinking, "I couldn't do that in a million years"? Have you ever said to yourself, "But if I only knew how they did it, maybe I could do it too"? Then this book is for you! This book is about the "not in a million years" component of personal reinvention. You'll hear from people who started out with one set of ideas, perceptions, thoughts, beliefs, and experiences and then ended up at a "not in a million years" place that was far different from anywhere they had been before. Most importantly, they'll tell you how they did it so that you can do it too! Using a simple six-step plan, you, too, will be able to climb out of any hole you might be in and begin your own journey of personal transformation and reinvention!

Autorentext

McDowell Graham is an Author, Therapeutic Storyteller, and Wayshower whose calling in service to others is to help people see themselves and their place in the world with new eyes.

At the heart of her practice is a powerful and proven three-step process called Examine Envision Emerge designed to help people learn how to examine their current thought patterns and belief systems; envision what they want to have, be, do, or change in their life; and forge a new trail to emerge into the light of a brighter future.

To assist people with incorporating this process into their daily lives, McDowell uses a healing modality called Therapeutic Storytelling, which showcases individualized stories to address challenging experiences; offer possible resolutions; and provide the opportunity for insight and reflection.

The stories we tell ourselves?and don't tell ourselves ? impact our emotions, our physical, mental, and spiritual states, our choices, and our relationships. McDowell uses stories, her own and others, to enable people to see the bigger picture; to inspire new ideas for change; and to move to action. When a person can identify their role in their own story as well as the story of someone who has shared their same experience, they can begin to truly understand their lives and the world they live in.
