Interest in forensic science in TV shows and mainstream novels has led me to take a slightly different direction with Trust Me and the two books, Love Me and Marry Me, which will follow it. The word 'forensic' comes from the old Roman 'forum', where legal matters were discussed. Today it is used to cover issues connected to the law.

In this book, the sudden death of the most notable person in town, TV star Caroline Cordell, throws senior hospital staff into chaos. The local doctor and his wife, the hospital administrator, are at odds as rumour has he and Caroline involved, then a bag of drugs found in her badly damaged car, brings the hospital into the close scrutiny of the police. Enter Sarah Gilmour, a locum for the hospital doctor, and as a stranger, able to see the danger for all concerned . . .

Meredith Webber loves reasing and recently actually read a couple of her own old books and enjoyed them enough to think they deserved to be out there in the world for other people to enjoy. If you happen to enjoy one, she'd love to hear from you. Visit her atwww.meredithwebber.com
