Michael earned his bachelors of fine arts in Media Arts and Animation from the Art Institute of Jacksonville, FL in 2016. He is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. He has been married to Carol for 40 years and they have two sons, Stephen (wife Mary) and also Jonathan (wife Susannah) and four grandchildren, Judah, Benjamin, Ivy and Samuel.
