This booklet "Love Songs in the Shadow of the Qur'an" is the upcoming metamorphosis of the poetry book "Love in the Shadow of the Qur'an".
The controversial topic of the death of poetry gave me the impetus to compose this English version of my poems taken from the book "Love Images in the Shadow of the Qur'an". In my fairy tale of the crystal of love, whose red thread then breaks, only the invisible loving man believes in the death of poetry. After this poem, the beloved woman writes the quartet "Devotion". For her, devotion is the cornerstone of conjugal union experienced in the shadow of the Qur'an. The beloved woman has completed her devotion by turning the original poem "Devotion" into a quartet. The poem "Devotion" is like a violin. The four strings coordinate with each other. It is also like a year, with its four seasons or like a life with its four time periods.
The beloved man leaves the field of poetry before anchoring the lover's paper ship at the harbor in the lake of matrimonial union. The beloved woman develops a tremendous longing for the gardens from which the two lovers had come.....
For the beloved woman, poetry is not dead. However, poetry has gone through a metamorphosis since the beloved man has started to believe in its death. However, the beloved woman does not give up. With her rational thinking, her entire philosophy of love in the shadow of the Qur'an is based on, she analyses the views of the beloved man and notices that he is silent and sees the images of their future love. And the beloved man enjoys these images.
The beloved woman also wants to see these images... So she decides to look for inspiring photos. Some of the images and symbols of the book come from the Qur'an, in particular from the Surat ar-rahman, while others are images taken from nature ... the butterfly comes from the "West-Eastern Divan" by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe who said "If Islam means submission to Allah, then in Islam we all live and in Islam we all die".
