The Drowning Fish is an allegory that, in a well crafted style, reflects some of the most burning issues we have in the society: greed, corruption, gender violence, adultery among others. The term drowning fish is a paradox where we are presented with a society suffering in the hands of those who should be in their help. The pastor here is taken to represent the leaders who are busy announcing that every citizen deserves equal treatment yet what they do is totally different_ we entrusted them expecting the better from them yet we met the worse_ the fish that is supposed to get life in the water is now dying in the water. This is literature from another perspective in that they are now forcing us to do what is just yet they have not showed us the example we should follow.
