This book aims to present an overview of the challenges and opportunities faced by India in its attempts at achieving poverty reduction and education for all. The issues are largely surrounding three key objectives-growth, equity and sustainability. It is evident that in order to effectively achieve poverty reduction (income and non-income), India must pay attention to the demands posed and challenges faced by these broad objectives.
