The book Environmental Studies deals with different aspects of environment keeping in view requirements of undergraduate students and people concerned about environmental issues. Dr. P.C. Thakur (M.Sc.-Botany, Ph.D.-Plant Biotech) has 21 years experience of teaching at college level. Besides teaching, he acquired experience of working in the most modern biotechnological industry based on the principles of hydroponics. He has been actively engaged in the tissue culture research work and has published many research papers and general articles. He has participated in several seminars and workshops (electron microscopy). Dr. Thakur has successfully organized UGC sponsored seminars on (a) "The implementation of latest techniques for the development of agriculture in Jharkhand and (b) Need of watershed management in Jharkhand" and edited books on proceedings of the said seminars. He has honour to his credit of being invited as resource person to different workshops and seminars. He is a life member of Indian Science Congress Association.
