Nadira Youngblood and the rest of her eighth-grade class are on an end-of-the-year field trip to a new interstellar amusement park, when unexpected events leave them stranded on an unknown, yet eerily familiar, planet with no adult supervision, no modern technology, and beasts of prehistoric size.

When Nadira inadvertently discovers a mysterious power that could reverse the fate of humanity back on Earth, she soon finds herself struggling to keep the untamed power from destroying everything and everyone in a place where nothing is quite what it seems to be and no one is who you think they are.
