In 1978, Brenda Foster endures a life of escalating domestic abuse at the hands of her husband Calvin, culminating in her attempt to protect her three children. After Brenda suddenly disappears, her children are left to suffer under Calvin's progressively more violent behaviour. Their hopes for escape are dashed, leading to tragic consequences that haunt their abandoned farmhouse for decades to come.
After 45 years have passed, teenagers Carter, Alex, and Noel break into the abandoned Foster house seeking to capture paranormal activity for Carter's social media channel. Their ritualistic summoning inadvertently awakens a malevolent force tied to the home's dark past. When strange and sinister events begin plaguing the neighborhood ? including unexplained deaths ? residents must confront an evil that thrives on their compassion... and their fear.
