Transported by a strange and terrible storm from a mountaintop in Maine to the island of Glenlock on a world called Tera, Special Operations Operative Hal Bennet joins forces with knights of Cent to defend the land from Daemons. Strange-looking men who have ravaged Glenlock, burning villages, killing the innocent, and taking their youngest children. Why did they come to Glenlock, and what did they want with the children remains a mystery.
The Daemons were not alone. With them were two men wearing the armor of Samurai. One is their leader, the other, a man from Earth. An Otherworlder who served the master of the Daemons until he met Hal. His name; Miyamoto Musashi. A man trained in the art of the Shinobi.
Joining together, the Otherworlders have sworn to serve the king of Cent, Henry Lackland. A man Hal met on Earth. A man from Tera brought to Earth by a storm and returned in the same manner.
Although the threat of the Daemons is over for now, Henry and the Otherworlders face an even greater threat. Henry's father is dead, murdered by the Duke of Sandford, Osborn Kennington, who has usurped the crown and placed his son on the throne. To solidify his power, Kennington has sent an army to find and kill Henry and all who serve him.
Taking refuge in the castle at Tilden, Henry seeks allies to help him regain the crown. But while preparing to meet the approaching army, he learns of another threat.
An invading horde rampages through the countryside of Cent on its unstoppable path south. An army determined to join the one sent by Kennington.
With his new allies, legionnaires from Lantus, sea raiders from Southland, and the two Otherworlders, Henry prepares to defend not just Cent but all of Glenlock.
The question is, can he succeed, or will Glenlock fall into chaos?
