Rachel E. Pollock has been working as a professional costumer for theatre, film, & TV for over 25 years. As a response to the impact of COVID-19 on the theatre industry, she created a YouTube channel as a video-format companion to the blog, La Bricoleuse, about theatrical millinery (hat making), maskmaking, fabric dyeing, textile surface design, & a whole lot more. She is based in Durham, NC, teaches at UNC-Chapel Hill, & works in the costume shop of PlayMakers Repertory Company. She is a coauthor with Triffin and Gregory Morris of A History of the Theatre Costume Business: Creators of Character (Routledge, 2021).
