This first endeavor of writing poetry came to me in a dream. All the subject matter had its genesis in dreams. I give God the glory and any credit for my feeble attempts at putting thoughts to paper. Hopefully, one or two of these poems will resonate with you and allow you a moment of pause. Dr. Patterson is married to Janie and they have three grown sons and four grandchildren. At seventy four years of age he still works part time training residents. He enjoys family, church, writing, reading, gardening, and both composing and performing for the piano. He especially loves moments with Janie.
