An autobiographical account of cancer diagnosis, testing, surgery and follow-on radiation and chemotherapy treatments. Main message is that cancer need not be considered a death sentence, even if the word itself is a little scary.

Robert Blau is a retired diplomat and teacher, with articles published in the "Foreign Service Journal" about El Salvador and Cuba. During his tour of duty in Cuba he worked closely with a charity that gave aid to children with cancer. He is collaborating with an illustrator to publish a children's book later in 2023.
