Robert E. Vardeman has published more than 100 novels and scores of short stories in his 40 year career. He writes fantasy, sf, mysteries, steampunk and high-tech thrillers in addition to westerns both traditional and weird. Jackson Lowry and Karl Lassiter are two of those awards-nominated pen names.
He worked as an instructor for Longridge Writers Institute from 2006 until 2014. He has been on the editorial staff for FSWA award-winning fantasy football magazines since 2007 and has co-edited anthologies (with Scott Phillips) Career Guide to Your Job in Hell and (with Joan Spicci Saberhagen) Golden Reflections.
