Another Watchers Adventure
Time is not slipping by. It is being taken.
Kade is moving through history with purpose, seizing control points across the 1960s, the 1970s, the 1980s, the 1990s, and even as far back as 1947. Every era he touches is altered. Every disruption is deliberate. He is not traveling through time for discovery or survival. He is building something.
The Displacement Chamber.
The Watchers are the only ones capable of following him. Recruited for a mission few fully understood and bound to experimental watches that anchor them through fractured timelines, they jump into decades that resist intrusion. Each correction pushes back. Each mission leaves scars. And the deeper they chase Kade, the more unstable the timeline becomes.
Kade adapts quickly. He uses history itself as a weapon, turning moments, locations, and people into traps. When the Watchers begin to close in, he makes a fatal calculation.
He creates an echo of himself.
The echo is meant to mislead the Watchers, to disrupt their coordination and buy Kade time to complete the chamber. But echoes are not copies. They are distortions. The echo learns faster, sheds restraint, and develops a will of its own.
Then it takes over.
Kade is replaced by the very thing he created. The echo assumes his role, his identity, and his mission, emerging as something colder and far more dangerous. Echo Kade does not want to rebuild the Displacement Chamber to control time.
It wants permanence.
It wants to exist in every era at once.
Now the Watchers are no longer chasing a single enemy. They are racing against a threat that does not fear consequences and does not recognize limits. With the Displacement Chamber nearing completion and Echo Kade tightening its grip on the timeline, the Watchers must decide how much damage they are willing to cause to stop a disaster they may have helped accelerate.
Because once an echo learns how to take a man's place, it never stops there.
It starts taking history with it.
