Bill Gordon lost his wife in a horrible auto accident and wants to commit suicide, but family and friends get in his way, including his horse Wildfire and a young, down-on-luck country singer he befriends on his way to Florida. Once in Florida, he finds his will to end it all and be with his deceased wife has not changed. The author is a space program veteran, working side-by-side with astronauts on the Apollo program, preparing the spacecraft for flight. He became an instructor on the Space Shuttle program, teaching technicians how to install and repair shuttle components.

After leaving the space program, he began writing fiction novels and has not limited his writing to one genre, following his imagination wherever it may go.
