Author Robert Scott Thayer is also a recording artist who writes and performs in the pop, jazz, and children's genres. He has won several international songwriting awards, including honors from Billboard. Thayer's children's song Kobee's Song was produced by Grammy winner Jim Cravero. Robert earned a BBA from Temple University and has also worked as a copywriter. A lifelong passion for manatees led him to spend many hours researching these gentle marine mammals. Thayer is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), the Save the Manatee Club in Florida, and Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI).
