Robin Lee Howell grew up on a dairy farm in Landrum, South Carolina, with her parents, Robert and Janey Lee, and two brothers, Barry and Gordon. She has taught elementary school in the public and private setting, as well as internationally in China. She currently lives in Boiling Springs, South Carolina, and is married to Mike and has three stepsons, Matthew, Chris, and Alex.
