Rogério de Campos is a writer, translator and publisher. He was the creator of Animal magazine and founded the publisher Conrad, where he was head of comics and books, launching manga in Brazil such as Dragon Ball, Knights of the Zodiac and Vagabond. In 2012, he created the publisher Veneta, which has received national and international awards. Prominent among his work as essayist and writer is the book Imageria: o nascimento das histórias em quadrinhos [Imageria: the Birth of Comics] (Veneta, 2015), which received the HQ Mix award for best theoretical work and
was selected by the English critic Paul Gravett as one of the top ten works on comic books worldwide in 2015.
